Pastor Robert Donovan is serving St. Luke’s as Transition Pastor. As a full-time Intentional Interim Minister, Pastor Donovan is responsible for all of the normal pastoral functions of the church. Additionally, he has been trained to assist with any organizational work in preparation for St. Luke’s to call their next shepherd. Pastor Donovan has 24+ years of congregational experience in Florida, Chicago and Hampshire, Illinois. Before attending seminary at Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 1992, Pastor Donovan worked in the Boston marketplace as a consultant specializing in strategic planning and marketing. He is credentialed by National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors (NALIP) and is a member of the Intentional Ministers Conference (IMC) an association of LC-MS intentional interim pastors. Currently residing in South Elgin, Pastor Donovan lives with his wife Jennifer. They have been married since 1983 and have four children living in Chicago.

Christine Hansen – Administrative Assistant

Christine Hansen is St. Luke’s Church Administrative Secretary. Chris graduated from Augustana College in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and then went on to earn her Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in 1985. Chris worked in the legal and banking industry for 19 years before joining St. Luke’s in 2006. She provides office support to the Pastor and the ministries of St. Luke’s. Chris is blessed with one son, Stuart, a student at Waubonsee Community College. Chris is an active volunteer with Boy Scouts of America advocating for scouts with special needs.
