It can be intimidating at times to visit a new church and at St. Luke’s we hope that as our guest you will always feel as comfortable as being with family.

Will I Be Singled Out As A Visitor?

No.  You will not be singled out during a service.  You may be welcomed by our greeters at the door who may introduce themselves and may introduce you to the Pastor if he is available prior to the service.

Visitors and members are asked to complete the worship attendance cards in the pews and place them in the offering plate.  This lets us know you were here with us and allows us to properly thank you for worshipping with us.  Our Pastor greets all our worshippers as they leave the service.

Our hosts at our Information Kiosk are there to serve you and to answer any questions you may have.  Please feel free to approach them.

What time are your worship services?

We offer three different service times and styles for your convenience

Saturdays         5:30 pm          Blended

Sundays            8:00               Traditional

Sundays            10:45 am        Contemporary / Praise Team

All are full worship services, celebrating the Lord’s Supper at every service.

We hope that you will visit us at several of our services so more of our church family will be able to meet you.  Join us also at Fellowship time (Sunday, 9-9:25 am) in the Family Life Center (large gym).  Just ask for directions at the information kiosk.

Am I welcome to take communion when I visit?

We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Body and Blood in which we joyfully receive Christ’s Body and Blood, under bread and wine, for the forgiveness of our sins.  As we celebrate the Sacrament we also give public confession to our unity in the Christian Faith.  We invite all who believe in the Triune God and in the real presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in Holy communion for the forgiveness of sins, to commune with St. Luke’s family.  Guests are encouraged to speak with the pastor before communing.

What services does St. Luke’s offer parents of young children at worship?

We encourage parents to bring their children with them into the church.  Even very young children can begin to grasp the worship service and they may learn more quickly to sit still and participate when they are welcomed into the sanctuary.

A special children’s message is presented before the sermon and children receive a special bulletin before they return to their seat.

We know, however, that sitting through church is sometimes impossible, so we have a staffed nursery during the Sunday morning worship services(and Bible Study hour) providing care for children 3 and under for parents who need to take their children out.  The room has toys for the children and a speaker which broadcasts the service live.  Ushers will be happy to direct you to the nursery, should you require it.

How can I participate in Sunday School/Adult Bible Class?

Bible classes and Sunday school follow our Fellowship time at 9:30 to10:30 am.

Sunday School usually begins meeting in the small gym and then to their classrooms.  We welcome children entering Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Adult Bible Studies newcomers and visitors are always welcome.  Classes normally meet in the Family Life Center (large gym) and/or the Board Room located off of the Family Life Center.
