Peter Hoffman – Pastor

 

Pastor Peter Hoffman originally from Toronto and still a Canadian citizen, has been serving  St. Luke’s since April of 1997.  Pastor Pete first served as our Director of Family Life Ministry and in June of 2000 he was called to be our Senior Pastor. He graduated from Christ Seminary-Seminex, St. Louis, MO in 1978 and served churches in Michigan and Georgia before coming to St. Luke’s.  Spending more than forty years involved in youth ministry, he continues to take an active role in our youth programs to this day.  Pastor has been married to Jan for over 37 years.  Jan is our first grade teacher and leads our Adult Education program.  They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  Pastor Pete’s interests include gardening, photography, stamp collecting and his grandchildren.

Stephanie Murray – DCE

 

Stephanie Murray serves as St. Luke’s Director of Christian Education (DCE).  She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Concordia-St. Paul.  Stephanie was married to David in 1998 and is now mom to Mackenzie and Finnegan.  After working at St. Luke’s as an aide in 2005-07, she rejoined us in 2011 as our DCE and is currently serving both the church and school.  She is passionate about sharing God’s love and helping people of all ages grow in their faith.

Christine Hansen – Administrative Assistant

 

Christine Hansen is St. Luke’s Church Administrative Secretary. Chris graduated from Augustana College in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and then went on to earn her Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in 1985.  Chris worked in the legal and banking industry for 19 years before joining St. Luke’s in 2006.  She provides office support to Pastor Hoffman and the ministries of St. Luke’s.  Chris is married to Dick Daly and was blessed with one son, Stuart.  Chris is an active volunteer, camp director and camp assessor with Boy Scouts of America and works with scouts having special needs.

Connie Pittman –
Office Assistant

 

Connie Pittman joined St. Luke’s staff as an Office Assistant in 2009.  She had recently retired from a 34-year career at Caterpillar Inc. where she worked in Human Resources. Connie performs a variety of office functions that support the church office and the staff,  and publishes the weekly Newsletter.  Connie is a charter member of St. Luke’s and is passionate about Chancel Guild service. She loves spending time with her daughter, Beth, son-in-law Elias and two grandsons, Connor and Adam.
